When you visit this website, the hosting provider Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, processes technical data on my behalf: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer). This is necessary to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. Log data is stored only for as long as secure operation requires and is then deleted. A data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) is in place with the provider. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services. Fonts, images and scripts are stored on the website's own server; no content is loaded from third-party servers. If you switch the colour scheme, your browser saves this setting locally on your device (local storage); it is not transmitted to me.
Counting page views
For the articles, my own server counts views, without cookies and without personal data. When you open an article and JavaScript is enabled, your browser sends the path of the article and a rough category of where you came from (for example search engine, social network or direct visit) to the site's own address, klariq.site. Only the number per day, article and origin category is stored. The IP address, the browser identifier (user agent) and the full address of the previous page are not stored; the browser identifier is used only at the moment of the request, so that search robots are not counted. Nothing is stored in your browser, no profile is created, and nobody is recognised.
In addition, the server counts what is clicked on the website. When you click a link or a button, your browser sends to klariq.site the path of the current page and an identifier of the target: the path of a page on this website, only the domain name of another website (for example openai.com), the type of contact (email, Telegram, WhatsApp, phone – without address or number) or the function of the button (for example share, menu, search, language switch). The text of the link is not transmitted. When a page is opened, a rough device class based on the window width is also sent (smartphone, tablet, computer). Only the number per day, page and target or device class is stored – without IP address, browser identifier or cookies; nothing is stored in your browser.
In the same way, the server also counts views of all other pages of this website (home page, categories, overviews). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is to know which content is read and how visitors find the website.
Search
The search runs entirely in your browser. Search terms are not sent to a server.
Contact by email
If you write me an email, I process the information you provide in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is answering your message. I delete the message once your matter has been dealt with.
Links to other websites
The articles link to sources and other websites, for example fixik.de. Only when you click such a link does its operator receive data from you; the privacy policy of the respective website applies there.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). An email to the address above is sufficient.
